Each year, we team up with some of the area’s most creative chefs and farmers to deliver a gourmet dining experience. But we also hope diners gain a renewed appreciation for the contributions of our honored guests — the farm workers who make agriculture here possible — and a commitment to making Ventura County a welcoming place for them.

“From Harvest to Home” Summit

On March 20, 2015, House Farm Workers! hosted “From Harvest to Home”, the 10th anniversary farm worker housing summit. The 150 attendees heard informative presentations about the issue from experts in agriculture, health, housing and government relations. At the event, House Farm Workers! debuted its new documentary “From Harvest to Home,” The summit concluded with an inspiring breakout session and town hall meeting, where attendees committed to building 2,375 Ventura County farm worker homes in the next 10 years. One way to achieve that goal is to join a House Farm Workers! city committee and testify before city councils in support of farm worker housing.
